Our Government Is Abusing Its Powers

An Australian whom I had dinner with last night, asked me a simple question and then explained his reasons. Given the basis that perception is reality we should really take note and put an end to these disjointed loner type behaviours emanating from our British Parliament. However, I digress the question was simple “Am I not ashamed to be British at this time?” He went on to explain, “ the global economy is slowing and as the 5th largest economy you have to play your part to move growth forward, but you're not instead you are destroying democracy and bringing the acceptance of Authoritarian rule”. It is difficult to defend the indefensible.

Philip Hammond attending the IMF conference in New York. Explains this as we are again leading the world in lessons on democracy, he claims we are a bastion of democracy and this is what a democracy does. The world should take note for we are the best at it. He went on to say we must now put Brexit behind us and move onto other government issues. Well hear hear to that. However, as a guess this was code for, we must bury Brexit now once and for all.  He then said that politics is always like this and in one year this will be all forgotten assuming the conservatives will waltz the next election.

  1. This not democracy in action, this is a battle of democracy over unabashed authoritarianism. Democracy is about representing your constituents, it's about representing the people of Great Britain. You Mr Hammond are doing neither.
  2. I agree we must move on, but to do this you and others in government must truly leave the EU.
  3. This in time will be forgotten, but, I fear Mr Hammond this may take 10 years, you are deluding yourself if you think you can bring authoritarianism to the shores of the United Kingdom and expect it to be forgotten. Particularly when you represent only vested interests and damn the rest of the Great British people.

We are where we are because you and others will not accept democracy, this is unacceptable. I suspect there's a lot about our role in the EU that is illegal under the rules of the Magna Carta along with other rulings centuries later, but more on that in another article.

Many people believe as I did that we were given an option by way of referendum on joining the EU. This is not the case we joined in 1973. We were given the option through a referendum to leave in 1975.

  1. Prior to joining a poll was taken where the British people overwhelmingly reject to join.  Ted Heath was asked after our membership had passed why did he not seek a mandate from the British people. His answer “Because the British people would have said no”.  Not only did he run roughshod over us he deceived Parliament.  Informing the house that it was a simple trading block with shared ideas. What he failed to explain was the “Werner report” produced in the late 60s this report was the basis of the EU today. Within this report it is outlined exactly what the EU was and what was intended. Loss of Sovereignty was always on the agenda, it was expected to be handed to the EU. Verhofstadt is absolutely right to insist member states surrender more Sovereignty it is in the EU constitution since the beginning.
  2. In 1975, we did indeed elect to stay in the EU, by a resounding 64% but on a turnout considerably less than we had in 2016. It is important to remember; the 1970s were our darkest decade for they ushered in the Soviet funded unions intent on disrupting manufacturing in this country. Strikes were seen everywhere, violence was on the streets, picket lines made use of flying pickets, which meant any radical could join and strike group. Three day weeks, power outages, TV was shut down. Cold dark nights were indeed the norm.

Is our membership legal? And was the surrender of our sovereignty legal? Here the argument becomes quite fuzzy.

  1. The magna Carta throws doubt on this!
  2. In 1530 a group of Lords wrote very clearly to the then pope Clemence requesting the annulment of Henry the Eighths marriage. The letter was signed by MPs as well as the Arch Bishop of Canterbury. Within the letter they claim: they will apply under UK  law extreme remedies to split with the Catholic church. The letter was a three-foot wide parchment with 18 wax seals. Effectively this document was our first foray as a brexiteer, making Henry an eminent brexiteer, and of course we are aware of the outcome and no evil has fallen on us.
  3. In 1689 came the English bill of rights again throwing doubt on the legality of a foreign power holding dominion over the UK. Within this document it is clear: No foreign Prince, Person, Prelate, state nor potentate can rule over England. I will explain more in a later post, but this raises the question is membership legal? Brexit - Say No To More Delays. Just Leave on WTO

I am not surprised in the slightest this deal was rejected. It was just flowery words around the original, a new jacket for the wolf.  But where does this leave us?

1. I read the term a hard brexit or a soft brexit, use these terms if you must, but, I prefer the term remain which is what a soft brexit has morphed into or leave on WTO.  In fact, I would even argue the reverse a hard brexit would indeed be to remain.

  • The EU has failed its southern states, youth unemployment is as high as 30%.
  • The Eurozone has managed a 2% growth over a 10year period.
  • Salaries, real time earnings in the EU have seen the lowest increases compared to those countries outside the eurozone.
  • Regulation is destroying business, only 10% of our GDP comes from Europe. Yet we apply regulation to the 100%. This is a substantial burden!

2. Delay Brexit! For what Reason? So we can continue to pay billions into EU’s unaudited accounts where billions are unaccounted for.  As Margaret Thatcher once said on referring to charitable donations to a crisis in Africa, “This is poor people giving rich people money”. What would be achieved and what do we risk?

  • We risk the same as we've had for the last 2.5 years. Confusion, chaos, uncertainty and an opportunity for remainers to be right.  Our economy will tank, not because of brexit but because of lack of clarity, political infighting, a disconnected government. The tail is wagging the dog and its not even the people's dog.
  • So you delay, but you've voted to take no deal off the table. Where does that leave us? Trapped in the EU as per Blair's et al. wishes.
  • Subject to regulation, under more control of the EU as the threat of leaving could never be realized again. A European army to quell dissension within a member state who dares autonomy. Look to Catalonia the EU stood by and watched the violence to so called EU citizens.
  • Mikeal Gorbachev once said “the EU is the Soviet Union in western clothes”.

3. WTO rules, but then a new set of issue kick in:

  • Philip Hammond, he must now demonstrate our willingness, preparations to become a low tax competitive environment based on competitive regulations unlike those placed on us from the EU. We are already experiencing an influx of investment 2nd only to China. Bolster the city of London as it is already the premier Euro clearing house, this will not be challenged.
  • Quickly form a relationship with America, China, Indonesia, Japan and India. Just to do one FTA would be a huge boost to the economy.

Perhaps, we should indeed seek advice from the USA on how we can seek retribution from Europe. This has been a mickey mouse negotiation, after all we own a proportion of the assets.

In a recent survey organized by Reuters through their “Convene App” they came down in favour of recommending the UK push for a tax haven status.  David Goldberg QC defined what he considered our status should be.  He concentrated on two features; taxing only income which arises within its own border and that the tax system is clear, concise, easy to operate and can be seen to balance the rights and obligations of the citizens and the state.

In fact, he went further to claim our membership has blighted our integrity.
“It used to be possible to an English common lawyer to go abroad, knowing that he or she came from a country which created the finest legal system the world has ever seen and gave it the guiding principles of the rule of law. We could be proud to fly our flag. Now it is stained by the sins against those beacon lights which are committed presently and most clearly by our tax system and which bring with them the risk of infecting other areas of law…”

– David Goldberg, QC, Gray’s Inn.

I will leave this note here otherwise the blog is too long. I will say that I maintain a belief that we are exactly where remainers want us to be. I will also go so far as to say that we are where Mrs May intended. She will align against no deal and then push to remain but first delay. This is indeed a muddle and an election is needed new MPs elected who represent their constituents if only for this to be completed. I'm sure when we are settled we won't notice their return to self-serving.

BREXIT: Say No to a Second Referendum, Say yes to an Election.

Philip Hammond is no friend of the people. The Telegraph have run an excellent story today discussing what a chancellor should be and what this chancellor is doing.

What he should be doing is advising the government on how to prepare for a no deal. Showing the EU that we're not afraid of moving to WTO rules, after all WTO countries have benefited from trade with the EU far more than we have. He should indeed return to our conservative roots, be the Champion of free trade.

I trust the government … will not resume the policy which they, and we have found most inconvenient, namely the haggling with foreign countries about reciprocal concessions, instead of taking that independent course which we believe to be conducive to our own interests … Let us trust that our example, with the proof of practical benefits we derive from it, will at no remote period insure the adoption of the principles on which we have acted … Let, therefore, our commerce be as free as our institutions. Let us proclaim commerce free, and nation after nation will follow our example.

Sir Robert Peel 1846

Philip Hammond should be supporting the negotiation he should spell out that we could be come a low tax competitor, a supporter of global free trade.  He should show the EU that we are not afraid to go it alone, after all we are in better shape.  It would then be up to the EU to make the next move and offer a deal that keeps us on side.

Instead, Mr Hammond MP, doesn't see this as a fight for Britain he sees this as fight between Remainers and Brexiteers.  He sees Brexit as a disaster. He sees the cabinet split with Remainers having the upper hand. He has no concern for the people nor for his constituents who voted leave.

The issue here as the Telegraph point out that as Mrs May's majority had been slashed.  She had little room to punish Mr Hammond for his poor performance following his first budget debacle. Not only this relieves him to continue to undermine the referendum, it also sent a message to other members of her cabinet that she was weak and can not sack anyone, therefore anything goes.

I maintain, we need an election.  The MPs no longer (as if they ever did) act as our proxy, our representatives we need to clean house.

The EU is a failed project, the beneficiaries are the elite, the big corporations even the German people are the underpaid (over 10 years, since 2008 Germans have enjoyed a 13% increase, Finland 30%). They have not benefited from the swelling German Industry coffers.

I have also read recently that “Lady Nugee” nee Emily Thornberry, a lady who doesn't use her title as it makes her appear out of touch with the people, is advocating a second referendum with the question such that 1. Remain 2. Leave on May's deal. Does she really think we are so stupid.

  1. Overturns the referendum.
  2. Keeps us in the EU under the Customs Union in perpetuity.  Also, under article 4 keeps us under the ECJ even if we could break free.

Her treachery to the electorate is beyond doubt. Her attitude to the electorate is contemptible.

If we are to secure our future we should fight participating in a second referendum if it has remain as an option or is on her terms. We should insist on a general election, after all 80% of us voted on manifestos that Brexit means Brexit!

The future is bright the world is in better shape collectively than the EU. According to PWC. No EU country will be in the top 5 economies as we move towards 2030. Some reports show that no EU country will appear in the top 10. That the UK will overtake the German economy.

There is a reason that investment in the UK is 2nd only to China. There is a reason why corporate EU are investing in the UK.

Don't fall for more elite lies, more project fear from the vested parties of our government.

Brexit - Treason, Fascism snaps at our door Asia beckons!

It's Time We Called Time On The EU

It's time we called this for what it is. Treasonous behaviour! We should not forget the behaviour of the 400 MPs plus Blair and his entourage that have tried so hard to disrupt the Brexit process. This has held us back for over two years. During a period when Asia is establishing with billions being spent on infrastructure.

The EU under Junker, Tusk with Barnier and Verhofstadt is a failed project. Autocratic monolithic monster destroying all in its path. For the sake of those countries that remain we should not embellish their coffers in order that they wreak more havoc on the remaining 27.

The youth of the south have suffered enough. If we allow this EU folly to continue we will have fascism again in Europe and on our doorstep.

Italy has now stepped out of line and looking to trade with the UK, more will do the same! What's sad, is we have had to wait for the ranks to break all because of our devious MPs constantly giving hope to their EU masters.

We have lost 2.5 years on this it's enough!

Mrs May has tried hard to hide her deeds, to change the result! On June 23rd we came to a fork in the road. The electorate were delegated to, they chose 'leave'. To her credit at first she showed her willingness to take the right road defined by us. Since, she has constantly looking for rat runs to return to the status quo.

No deal is fine we apply CET and negotiate FTA's with the rest of the world. At the end we the UK consumer will have cheaper food and the EU will lose market share!

Pay only for the projects we are part of, get title deeds for the buildings and infrastructure we own and let's move on. Trade with those that want to. Stick tariffs under WTO on those that don’t.  But move on we must!

  • Dominic Grieve

  • Nicky Morgan
  • Dr Sarah Wollaston
  • Jonathan Djanogly
  • Stephen Hammond
  • Heidi Allen
  • Jeremy Lefroy
  • Robert Neill
  • Yvette Cooper
  • Amber Rudd

DOMINIC GRIEVE, ANNA SOURBY, BLAIR
Proud of yourself.
The list continues Clarke, Clegg, Adonis.  Blair should not get a penny from the state going forward.  Which ever side of the divide you are on these guys have undermined our democracy and our way of life!

We are not crashing out! We are not at a cliff edge! We are not little Englanders and we are not stupid. March the 30th will look exactly like March 29th but the future will be brighter.  History will show how we have mapped a brighter future for those that have tried so desperately to sabotage our future. They should be ranked among the communist shop stewards such as Red Robbo a man responsible for 523 strikes, who brought down our industrial manufacturing base of the 70s!

Brexit Duplicity reigns supreme

The Daily Telegraph have today run a story; re the Cabinet Ministers who are insisting on a Free Vote over the issue of no deal.  The deputy protagonist, of course not the Chief as that is a mantle that Philip Hammond holds.

Voters in Hastings have elected to leave the European Union.
The Brexit campaign edged a 4,328-vote victory.
20,011 remain in the EU and 24,339 leave.
37 votes rejected.
Hastings saw a 71.6% turnout,

MP Amber Rudd

The duplicity displayed in this cabinet, this government and these parties is beyond belief. Never before has there been an opportunity for a new party to emerge.  A party that could easily and quickly gain so much traction. Conservatives were founded in 1834, their 1st leader the Rt Hon Robert Peel. Of course the Tory's had held a place in British Politics since the 16c.

I haven't mentioned Labour's roots as I believe the harm done to them is 10 fold, the labour party has been hijacked by what appears as Stalinist henchmen. You only have to look at the way in which they are attacking Fiona Bruce to understand the path they are taking.

My point with this blog is not to dwell on the detail above.  Perhaps that's a subject for another day. Fascinating that it is!

We entered the EU in 1973. It was Ted Heath that took us into what was known as the common market (EEC).  However, let's be clear the EEC had since its inception a plan to unify Europe in to a form of United States of Europe.

“On its very first official publication in Luxembourg on 8 October 1970, the 'Report to the Council and the Commission on the realization by stages of economic and monetary union in the Community' also bore the short title the 'Werner Report'.”

In 1973 the above mentioned report was hidden from our parliament during the various parliamentary debates re. our ascension to the Common Market, effectively taking us into the EEC on a lie. However, this was later rectified.  In 1975, we had a referendum on whether to leave or remain.  A pamphlet was produced and passed to every household outlining exactly the EEC intent. We voted to remain (funny how we had no further recriminations).

To put this into context the 1970s became known as our darkest decade. The Unions held this country to ransom throughout this period.  Not because of their desire to improve working conditions for their many members, more their need to drive the UK policies closer to their paymasters in the USSR. That was the 1970s! Hence, our membership was ratified, I suspect as a way to escape the Industrial strife.

In a bizarre twist we seem to have gone full circle and this we must be mindful.  This must not happen, our country must not be hijacked by either ends of the spectrum. However, remaining in the EU as it is currently structured is not the answer.

A new party must emerge perhaps under the guise of populism. But emerge it must.
